Winterslow Scout Group has been established in the village for over 40 years, we celebrated our ruby anniversary in 2017.
The Group currently has Beaver, Cubs and Scouts Sections and an attached Explorer Unit.
Our necker colour is bright red, and we are part of the Salisbury and South Wiltshire District.
Whilst sponsored by the Methodist Church the Group is open to those of all religions, including those of no faith, and all genders and abilities.
We expect all our members to attend the District’s St George’s Day event and other significant events, such as Armistice Day parades, or Harvest Festival as advised by your Section Leader. All Group Sections meet in the Methodist Church on The Common in Winterslow during school term time only.
As a village troop, we believe in community. and with that goes the Scout Promise of Selfless commitment.
All our scouts are from the Local area and surrounding villages and we believe scouting is for everyone! regardless of ability, race, religion or otherwise. We welcome all to our Group, and we love the area we live in, as this gives us a real platform for Scouting.
